British Bad Teeth conspiracy continues

NHS Dentists The NHS dentist crisis is getting worse according to experts. Dentists who come from abroad, for example from Finland, to practice on UK citizens are becoming disillusioned, handing in their notices and returning to their native countries, placing an even greater strain on NHS dentistry. A conspiracy between money grabbing dental insurance companies and greedy dentists is in full swing in the UK.

In many counties in the UK there is not a single English dentist offering NHS dental treatment. Professionals say the only way to turn the situation around is to force dental students to sign a contract committing them to work within the NHS for a minimum period, say seven years, after graduation.

There are over 20000 dentists working in the UK, which is enough for a decent level of treatment countrywide. Unfortunately the majority work in private dental practices, where fees are so high that the patient needs to take out insurance to afford dental treatment. And there’s the trouble, the insurance companies providing cover for dentistry only want to take on patients with good teeth in the first case. Those with dental problems are whacked with high monthly payments.

Now, the unedifying spectacle of DIY dentistry is coming to the UK from the third world. What an inditement of the British NHS system.
