Ian Hislop lampoons Princess Diana Inquest

On BBC TV last night satrical magazine Private Eye man Ian Hislop shouted his abuse at the ‘pointlessness’ of the fresh inquest into the death of Princess Diana. Hislop, who appears on Have I got News for You, couldn’t contain his venom, spitting it out at grieving father Mohammed Al-Fayed.

The BBC TV show Question Time threw up the point of the JFK (US President John F Kennedy assassination). After forty years conspiracy theories abound, the reason why there has not been closure in that case is because the official version of the assassination has been discredited. The evidence points to a conspiracy, several parties, CIA, Russians, Mafia all had reasons to murder JFK, (Kennedy had vowed to clean up mafia influence in US politics), the problem is showing which of the aggrieved parties was responsible.

In the case of Princess Diana, there was a clear establishment motive to stop Moslem influence in the British Royal family, and Ian Hislop would be advised to take a fresh look at the evidence. Or, perhaps, he hopes for an OBE in the next Queen Mum’s birthday honours list .
