Re supervolcanos ; I would also add that Anak Krakatau - baby Krakatau, which emerged slowly following the disappearance of Krakatau at the time of the great eruption - has now grown to the same height that Krakatau was when it blew!

Thank you for sharing your viewpoint, Nathaniel. Perhaps 'overpopulation' should be defined as occurring when the amount of food produced by a nation is insufficient to comfortably sustain its population? - point taken re 'the supervolcano'.

Hello, I just came across this site but when I read it there were a few points I wanted to mention.

As forewarning, I'm not from the UK but I generally have a great deal of doubt whenever the word "overpopulation" comes up. This is because just because there is a population someone assumes that a large enough one is somehow "overpopulation".

As the vast majority of people in the UK aren't starving I would generally question the logic of whatever model was put together in order to claim that there isn't enough food for people in the UK.

The idea that a supervolcano going off has anything to do with population levels in strikes me as strange. If your point is that there will be mass disruption then a counter point is that that would probably happen anyway.
