Recent sessions in the UK parliament have shown such lacklustre performances by Labour party politicians that it’s become worrisome. The new cabinet members don’t appear to have an understanding of their briefs and the overall effect is of a drifting Labour government which is not in control.
The worry is also that labour members have achieved their political goals a la House of Cards, the conspiracy is you only get a top job if there is a little hidden file on you which contains enough filth to keep you in line.
Perhaps I’m over egging the pudding here, I’m not saying there is a big conspiracy here, but this mood of mediocrity appears to be contaminating the labour rank and file now, including able guys like the member for Reading, Martin Salter, who has to appear on Newsnight with Jeremy Paxman attempting to defend the indefensible. (Yet another Home office cockup over immigration).
