In yet another huge weapons sale to Saudi Arabia, BAE Systems will be sending over $8bn worth of Eurofighters to the kingdom. 72 Typhoons, on top of the huge numbers of aircraft including latest US fighters already parked on Saudi runways. What will they do with all this weaponry? Is Saudi Arabia being primed to take part in the forthcoming war in Iran? In an Orwellian phrase, this military spend comes under the banner Project Salam - project peace.
