Presidential pretender Rudy Giuliani, who contracted prostate cancer a while back contrasted the chances of survival from the illness in the UK (52%) with the US (82%). In a visit to Downing Street the former mayor of New York also criticised the poor survival rate for breast cancer in the UK.
Giuliani implied he probably wouldn’t have survived had he been treated in the UK. He continued that socialised medicine was expensive and not effective. Perhaps Rudy, a leading US Republican, should take a look at the plight of the many in the US without adequate health insurance. What are their chances?
