UK premier Gordon Brown has announced that the UK will boldly follow in the footsteps of the US when it comes to any forthcoming war with Iran. When questioned about whether the UK will support US military action against Iran, Gordon refused to rule any option out, instead of, as previously laid out by Justice secretary and bon viveur Jack Straw, stating that war with Iran is inconceivable.
Gordon, who has looked increasingly smiling and gay recently, no doubt with the all the perks that come with being UK premier, has no qualms about bombing Iran if the hardline regime refuses to play ball and do what the West says.
Brown’s performance in Prime Ministers Questions has come under the spotlight recently, he appears to be unable to answer questions directly, and David Cameron has been making stride forwards with improved personal poll ratings. The recent cancellelation of the UK general election has damaged Gordon Brown’s credibility, the consensus being he was ‘chicken’ to call it off.
Let’s hope that war with Iran won’t happen, but with George Bush becoming demob happy, and wanting to ‘finish business’ before leaving office, it looks as though the two countries are converging inexorably towards military conflict.
