UK immigration figures scaring public

The latest home office government figures show that nearly six hundred thousand immigrants entered the UK last year. This is leading to a position where, regrettably, conspiracy theorists comment that Enoch Powell’s apocalyptic speech decades ago about the dangers of uncontrolled immigration is coming to fruition.

Enoch Powell was not against immigration, many immigrants to the UK can be anglophiles, he spoke out about the need to control the amount.

The Labour government have announced huge house building plans for the UK, but even this, if fully implemented, would not house the number of immigrants to the UK. Does Gordon Brown understand this? Why is Labour so good at spending money but so hopeless as managing the country?
