UK population to double by 2080
Well if Gordon Brown is trying to keep the UK economy going by a baby boom, mainly supplied by an endless flood of immigrants to this small island, then this blog covering world wide conspiracies says enough is enough. The UK can sustain a population of around 20 million agriculturally, any more than this (see blogs of second world war convoys), and a major disaster could overwhelm England, creating havoc.
The sight of knife wielding would-be immigrants forcing their way into trucks parked at Calais for the short ride to Dover (as reported on BBC yesterday, the correspondant himself was threatened by desperate economic migrants), raises a sharp question re ID cards. The immigrants have been given a clear picture by people traffickers of a land of milk and honey, where you only need to get in to the UK by any means, lie to the authorities, make up a big family and you’re on comfortable benefits for life. The use of biometric ID cards would help put a stop to this.
A sustainable population for the UK is around 50 million, any more and inter ethnic tensions are raised, reducing the quality of life for all. (Why anyone wants to take such a risk to illegally enter a country which is damp, cold, overcrowded and rains all the time is beyond me).

I think your idea of introducing ID cards to reduce or stop immigrants living in the UK is wrong.There will always be a black market in the workforce here, ID cards or not people will find a way to work and employers will hire them simple. ID cards have been talked about as a form of reducing the spread of terrorism and immigration for years.The fact is it will not work and has not worked in other countries that have ID cards.Today its ID cards tomorrow it could be electronic chips placed in the body,this is just another form of population control.Why do people not see their civil liberties being stripped from them on an almost daily basis? We are slowly being turned into a nation of slaves being monitored and manipulated at every turn.Wake up and see the real dangers here before we are lead down a path of no return.
It’s a global problem, not just a British one - immigrants are coming partly because of demographic pressures elsewhere. so, yes, let’s have net balanced immigration and a reducing UK population to sustainable levels. But it’s in our interest to subsidise family planning across the world as well.
